Modelling Early Human Society
نویسنده
چکیده
Using computers to simulate naturally occurring societies is a rapidly growing area of research [1],[2]. Much of the ongoing work is targeted at non-human societies (often in the ‘artificial life’ tradition), but some is aiming to use AI and Distributed AI to gain insight into human society, addressing such issues as social action, cognized models, group formation, planned cooperation and “macro-level” emergence. Indeed, it is beginning to seem possible that even aspects of human societies which at first seem entirely remote from computer work may be studied by computer simulation, for example, the much debated and argued notion of ‘ideology’.

Early Health Economic Modelling – Optimizing Development for Medical Device Developers?; Comment on “Problems and Promises of Health Technologies: The Role of Early Health Economic Modeling”
This commentary considers the positive and negative consequences of early economic modelling and explores potential future directions. Early economic modelling offers device manufacturers an opportunity to assess the potential value of an innovation at an early stage of development. Early modelling can direct resources into potentially viable technologies and reduce inv...
متن کاملHow Useful Are Early Economic Models?; Comment on “Problems and Promises of Health Technologies: The Role of Early Health Economic Modelling”
Early economic modelling has long been recommended to aid research and development (R&D;) decisions in medical innovation, although they are less frequently published and critically appraised. A review of 30 innovations by Grutters et al provides an opportunity to evaluate how early models are used in practice. The evidence of early models can be used to inform two types...
متن کاملطراحی مدل عاملمحور و کاربرد آن در باستانشناسی
The aim of this paper is to consider what constitutes agent-based modelling (ABM) and how this can relate to archaeological reasoning. The development and construction of ABM models is an essential prerequisite for most archaeological reasoning. Both directly and indirectly, archaeologists are making extensive use of ideas and methods in applications that derive from archaeological, anthropolog...
متن کاملKinematics and Dynamic Modelling of the Human Shoulder
This paper deals with kinematics and dynamics of the human shoulder in order to obtain the workspace related to the reachability of the wrist and applications to determine load for the wheelchair. The model contains six revolute degrees of freedom (D.O.F), two in costoclavicular and three in the shoulder joint and one in the elbow joint, while a six D.O.F model was developed according to given ...
متن کاملFunction-based behavioural modelling
Using mathematical behaviour models to determine system performance is crucial to the design of complex systems. Nevertheless, during the early stages of design, it is often difficult to create behavioural models as component solutions have not been fully identified. What is known is information about the desired functionality of the system is known. Particularly for complex system design, func...
